THE NBA FINALS
The theme of the 2023 NBA Finals required a shift from the high intensity of the league’s previous work in Playoff Mode. The energy of sixteen teams stepping their games up to battle for Conference supremacy, and the final round demanding breathtaking drama and high stakes of championship play.
We’re All in the Finals, the 2023 NBA Finals film, stood on a simple sentiment; everyone was invested in this moment, not just the ten players on the court. Each highlight – or lowlight – would send ripples throughout fan bases as they bounced between tragedy and triumph.
Adele’s emotional, piano backed ballad perfectly set the scene and nothing says it better than the lyrics themselves: “I like it in the city when two worlds collide.”
This star studded anthem, narrated by John Malkovich, brought NBA legends Magic Johnson & Larry Bird, NFL icons Peyton & Eli Manning, K-Pop sensation Suga, and skateboarding superstar Tony Hawk together under the tent of Finals fandom. Surrounding them were several other supporters, all on the edge of their seats, waiting for glory to be bestowed upon their hometown.
